Will Your Sexual Assault Be Prosecuted? Depends On Where You Live

This map shows the number of sexual assault crimes reported to police in each county, and the number of guilty pleas or convictions for those crimes. It combines information from law enforcement and the courts to look at how counties differ in dealing with these cases. Because they take time to prosecute, the most recent crimes aren’t reflected in the prosecution numbers. The data comes from the New Mexico Coalition of Sexual Assault Programs.
